Solaris empowers Catholic youth with talk on climate change, renewable energy

Naic, Cavite—Solaris joined the Joy~Nostalg Foundation(JNF) for Laudato Deum, a Catholic Youth Camp for Faith and Climate Justice, held on November 27, 2023. The event, which brought together over 100 youthfrom Sta. Candida Maria de Jesus Parish, served as a platform for Solaris to showcase its commitment to environmental sustainability and empower the youth to become agents of change in addressing climate change.

The Solaris team, composed of Noel Dorego and Jem Bareng of Corporate Affairs, and Jun Dineros of Business Development and Market Operations, actively engaged with the participants, sharing their knowledge and expertise on renewable energy and solar power innovations. They provided a comprehensive overview of Solaris' renewable energy initiatives, highlighting the company's dedication to developing sustainable solutions that can help reduce the impact of climate change.

The highlight of the event where Solaris participated was a hands-on workshop led by Dr. John Burtkenley Ong, JNF President, where the participants had the opportunity to assemble their own table mock-up of a solar power circuit, learning firsthand how solar energy can be harnessed to generate electricity. The Solaris team provided guidance and support throughout the workshop, ensuring that all participants gained a deeper understanding of solar power technology.

This event is part of the pioneering effort for the upcoming Information, Education, and Communication campaign of Solaris.
